Faruque Mohammad has announced ICT Incubator of BDBL Bhaban as Software
Technology Park (STP-1), says a BASIS (Bangladesh Association of
Software and Information Services) press release.
During his visit to the BASIS office on Wednesday, he expressed his satisfaction with different business processes of few IT companies of the ICT Incubator.
Later he attended a roundtable organised by BASIS on “Software Technology Park: Present & Future” held at BASIS Auditorium as the Chief Guest.
He formally named ICT Incubator of BDBL Bhaban as the “Software Technology Park -1”. He emphasised on creating more STPs in all divisional cities of the country.
Syed Almas Kabir, vice president of BASIS and director-in-charge of BASIS standing committee on infrastructure presented the keynote at the roundtable.
Shameem Ahsan, acting president, BASIS chaired the session.
He said that, STP-1 would be operated through public-private partnership (PPP) model.
