All of these herbs were claimed to aid in breast enlargement, and they weren't very expensive either. I ordered from Nature's Answer. They all taste horrible. But I'm persistent, so I hold my breath and plunge! I also ordered Source Naturals Natural Progesterone Cream. It aids in hormonal inbalances, as well as symptoms of menopause. If applied to breasts, it's claimed to help enlarge them. It also has a nice rosemary scent. I'm supposed to apply it 2 Tim's a day for 2 weeks, stop it for 7 days, then start again for another 2 weeks, and repeat. It's different for everyone though, so be sure to read the instructions. I have a hormone inbalance, and am also taking birth control, so these instructions are for me.

For menopausal women, it's different. On Thursday, I started taking the herbs (28-30 drops in a little bit of water, 3 times a day for each one) and also rubbing the progesterone cream on my right breast only, twice a day. That was yesterday. Today, I've done the same thing. This experiment is to test to see if, in 1-2 months time, if any of this will work to even out or even enlarge my breasts more than half a cup size. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for 2 cup sizes in 2 months at least. This blog is to record my progress, and also to prove if any of these claims are true. If they aren't, then oh we'll. If they are, then I gain some breasts. So I see it as a win/ok-whatever situation. For something like this, you require a lot of patience. My best advice is to try and incorporate these procedures into your daily routine, which is what I'm trying to do. But patience is NOT a human virtue. Self-control is though. But if you're like two-thirds of women, you're taking advantage of this health and happiness boost only once a week at most, according to a survey commissioned by the nonprofit organization HealthyWomen. The question is, why aren't you getting more action? We asked experts about the excuses they hear most often—and what you can do to heat things up between the sheets.

"I'm Exhausted"
"The most frequent complaint in my office is fatigue," says Hilda Hutcherson, M.D., clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia University college of physicians and surgeons. Carving out more time for sleep will obviously help, but so can hitting the gym. "You'll feel more energetic," she says. Also, remember that sex doesn't have to be a marathon event. "Sometimes a quickie will do the trick," says Jill Blakeway, a holistic health practitioner in New York City and author of the forthcoming book "Sex Again: Recharging Your Libido."

"I Have a Headache"
Turns out this classic dodge isn't just a line. Women who get frequent migraines or other headaches are more likely than others to report sexual dysfunction, according to a recent study in the Journal of Sexual Medicine. If OTC remedies like ibuprofen aren't cutting it, consult your doctor for help. Unfortunately, some migraine meds can hinder sex drive; if they affect you in that way, ask your provider about trying magnesium supplements, which may reduce the frequency of headaches.

"I'm Just Not in the Mood"
It's not unusual for desire to gradually wane after the white-hot flame of a new romance. To spice things up, try getting intimate in a room or location other than your bedroom, or using a toy and a sensation-enhancing gel, suggests Hutcherson. Occasionally hormonal shifts can interfere with your mojo as well—for instance, those that occur before your period. "They can cause irritability, breast tenderness and bloating. And if you don't feel well, you're not going to want to have sex," says Blakeway, so cut back on salt and caffeine and drink lots of water. But if the downturn has been sudden or seems severe, get a checkup: A thyroid disorder or depression could be to blame. Also ask your doc to review any medications you're taking; many common ones, including birth control, can dial down your drive.

"I'm Really Mad at Him"
An underactive libido may be a sign of underlying issues in the relationship. "Often women don't say anything when they're upset with their partners," says Hutcherson. Ask yourself if you're harboring any resentments. If so, voice them, and be specific. What could your guy—and you—do differently to make you happier? If the reward for having a difficult conversation is a better sex life, there's a pretty good chance he'll listen up.

How Long Should You Wait to Have Sex?

First of all, I’m going to eliminate any religious considerations from the equation. If you want to hold out for religious and/or cultural reasons, then I honestly believe that should be respected. With that out of the way, I know that this isn’t exactly a groundbreaking question, and it’s been widely covered in many books, magazines, and movies.
There are a lot of “rules” that have been thrown around (some of which I will give my thoughts on), but the truth is, there is no right answer. The only rule I rely on is my trusted ultimate rule: get to the bottom of it.

If you’re considering sleeping with someone, then “get to the bottom of it” by asking why you’re considering it. Because he’s smoking hot and you’re super horny? Because you think he wants to sleep with you and you don’t want to seem like a prude? Because you want to see if he’s good in bed before you pursue the relationship any further? All fair considerations.

Rules are stupid if they’re someone else’s rules and not your own. The infamous book The Rules by Ellen Fein and Sherrie Schneider says to wait at least three dates. Do you also want to know what one of their Top 10 rules is? If you are in a long-distance relationship, he must visit you three times before you visit him, otherwise, he’s gonzo. If I had followed that rule, I wouldn’t have married my own husband!

Steve Harvey hit a home run with his book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, where he advised “ladies” out there to wait at least 90 days before giving up your goods. But ask yourself this: Do Ellen, Sherrie, and Steve know you? So why would you listen to their rules? The only “rules” you should be listening to are your own, based on your own feelings and beliefs rather than a one-size-fits-all template.  Many people trust self-proclaimed “experts” over their own intuition, because they don’t trust themselves.

Rules are also stupid when the focus is the other person, particularly manipulating another person. These so-called relationship gurus are right in that sex is a powerful thing. It’s intimate, personal, and emotional, which is why the basis of these “rules” is to use sex as power and leverage. Quite frankly, I think that’s f*ed up!

This article from Cosmopolitan particularly infuriated me, coming from supposed “relationship expert” Ryan C. Browning:

“During the time before you have intercourse, he’s fully under your spell. The longer you hold off, the more intrigued he’ll become, allowing you to set the pace and control how things develop. That’s why it’s important to postpone sex for as long as you can — I say at least a month…Look, he obviously wants to have sex, but he loves a good challenge too, and the more he has to work for it, the more enticing the prize will be. If he likes you, he’s subconsciously hoping you’ll fend him off because it makes you more desirable…As long as you dangle the promise of sex in front of him, he’ll be fixated on you.”

Feel free to disagree with me, but using sex to play games with the opposite sex is counterproductive for everyone involved. The example above is wrong on so many levels. First of all, it just sounds like a painful waste of time: to “set the pace and control how things develop” – sounds more to me like “delaying the inevitable.” Any guy that is “fully under my spell” and views me as an “enticing prize” when I “dangle the promise of sex in front of him” sounds like a dreadful loser.

These “rules” are written under the assumption that the woman is trying to convert the man into a boyfriend or a husband, and must follow the rules in order to do so. The premise is that you can use sex to control a man, but that’s assuming all men are the same, which is also an unfair and ridiculous assumption.

In doing some research for this post, I actually came across a pretty good article from match.com that’s a Guy’s Eye View of what the consequences are for sleeping with him too soon. Three guys on varying ends of the “when should you sleep with her?” spectrum weigh in, from the guy who will judge a girl that sleeps with him too soon, to another that thinks it’s no big deal as long as she doesn’t, either. The article doesn’t take a stance either way, but it just goes to show that you can’t really control what the guy on the other end is going to think of your decision on how long to hold out.

So, what am I really trying to say? Sex is powerful, so why not use its power to help get to know you better instead of trying to play mind games with someone? Isn’t it about self-respect and knowing your self-worth? If you can still respect yourself after sleeping with a guy in less than three dates or under 90 days, why not go for it?

Missed Period: A big sign of pregnancy is skipping your period for over a month. This is a pretty good indication of pregnancy, although stress can do funny things to your body, and what causes more stress than wondering if you’re pregnant or not? This isn’t a telltale sign if you’re irregular to begin with. If you could set your clock by the monthly visit of dear Aunt Flo, then this sign is probably more reliable for you. This is one of the most pleasant symptoms of pregnancy. In fact, it may just be the best part of pregnancy, save giving birth to your new little baby. I mean, you get to go a whole nine months with no period! Kind of makes you want to get pregnant just for that little fringe benefit, doesn’t it? But, as with all good things, this too must end, and after giving birth, let me tell ya, your uterus more than makes up for lost time.

When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was certain I had mono. No way could pregnancy cause a person to be so tired. Clearly, there was something very wrong with me, I decided.
Of course, this sign isn’t as noticeable in mothers who already have one or more children, since sleep deprivation and fatigue are pretty much a way of life for us moms.

Mood swings are very commonplace in pregnancy. My husband could usually tell I was pregnant when he said something innocuous like, “You look nice today,” and instead of thanking him, I whipped my head around, shot laser beams from my eyes, and snapped, “What’s that supposed to mean?!” While watching television, I’d see a commercial for car insurance and burst into tears. I just never knew what might set me off. I was a veritable Sybil throughout my pregnancies. And here’s the thing about mood swings—you don’t even realize you’re nuts when you’re pregnant. You can’t clearly see your irrational behavior, and you’ll most likely think that everyone else is irritable — not you.

The nearest neighbor is 1/2 a mile away, and they also have livestock (sheep) for the winter.  Suffice to say, there are coyote problems.  And as neighbors, they all look out for each others animals, and when a coyote comes too close, they pull out a gun.

So Friday night, the cows were mooing oddly.  The coyotes can't do anything to the cows, but they can sure bring down a sheep or two.  And so while the womenfolk were in the kitchen, the menfolk grabbed their guns and headed out.

I was a little dumbfounded.  I'd never stepped foot on a working farm until I met The Husband, and now it seemed that my man was about to go bag himself a coyote.  I felt like I should be wearing bloomers and ring a triangle to call in the boys for dinner.  Weird.

But it was weirdly hot.  You know, in that lumberjack, burly man type of way.  He can take my bloomers off anytime.

FYI, they didn't get anything.  Just fired off a few warning shots and they ran away.

Perfect Ice Tea

Homemade Iced Tea

  • 6 to 8 tea bags
  • 1 quart hot water (4 cups)
  • 1 quart cold water (4 cups)
  • 1/2 cup sugar or 1/4 cup honey, optional
Iced tea is one of those delicious flavors that just makes the summer time seem worth while. It has all of the caffeine of soda pop, but with none of the artificial bubbly junk that feeds nameless corporations and their ilk. Iced Tea is natural, honest, and infinitely cheap. If your tastes run towards the exotic, and away from caffeine, then try your favorite herbal tea on ice. Brisk and refreshing, it will open up new avenues of beverage exploration.

Pitcher of Ice Tea 

Get out a 2-quart size sauce pan. Put the hot water in it and bring it to a boil. Add the tea bags. Remove the pan from the heat, and allow it to steep for 10 minutes. No more, no less. Set the timer. If the tea sits for too long, it will extract bitter elements from the tea leaves, making the finished product taste horrible. If it doesn’t sit long enough, it won’t be strong enough to give you the caffeine jolt which iced tea was designed for. When the time is up, remove the tea bags and blithesomely toss them into the garbage, they have served their purpose. Put the cold water into a 2-quart size pitcher. Pour the hot tea into the pitcher, over top of the cold water. You put the cold water in first, because the hot tea could melt the pitcher, seeing as it is so hot. The cold water acts as a buffer, and cools the tea. Add the sugar or honey if you like, stirring to dissolve it completely. Put the pitcher into the fridge to cool. Or it can be poured directly into an ice filled cup.
I like iced tea strong, so I use 8 tea bags. I buy the boxes of 100 tagless tea bags, usually a store brand, for about $1 a box. This makes 2 quarts of tea at a cost of 8¢! I don’t add sugar to mine, preferring it unsweetened. But that is a personal choice, and lots of folks like it with added sugar. The nicest thing about this recipe is that it makes perfect iced tea every single time.
