What is with all these magazines on the news stands? From fitness magazines to tabloids, headlines splash the covers about how to be "The Best You", "Lean for Life" or promise "The Best Anti Aging Tips". These magazines have been around for decades. I have LIFE magazines that date back to the 1940's and one thing that hasn't changed are articles centered around women's issues. 

So my question is: Are they purposely targeting the insecurities of women to keep readers or are they genuinely, month after month, coming out with better weight loss tips and wrinkle solutions? The jury is still out on this one but it is definitely something I find myself thinking about when I see 5 magazines all proclaiming have the best this and best that.

Another reservation I have about these magazines is the ideology and obsession to have the perfect body, glowing skin, while being successful at the same time. Yes, this is possible for some but for many juggling a full time job, school, fun, and a family it seems a little far fetched. Not to mention we do not have the professional photographer, make upartist, or stylist on hand and don't get me started on photoshop. 

How is it possible that monthly these tips and tricks change or evolve? Magazines are basically a yo-yo diet. January be a vegan ; Feburary cut out all carbs, March eat lean meat ; May eat complex carbs ; June back to being vegan. They say it takes 2 weeks to form a habbit. Are these magazines creating unhealthy habits? Are they useful? Are the accurate? I'll let you decide!

In the following year Ahsan worked on Chorabali which is an action thriller directed by Redoan Rony. The film was released in 2012^. Upon release, the film received positive reviews and was a huge box office success. The original production team announced plans to make a sequel Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini 2. The sequel has retained leads Shakib Khan and Jaya while Mamnun Hasan Emon and Mousumi Hamid is a new addition to the cast and is expected to release in October 2015.

Ahsan started working in an action - science-fiction film named Parle Theka directed by Samurai Maruf in 2013-14 but the director stopped filming. The film became much anticipated film of the year for a video song called Jongoler daak which created somewhat of a buzz in the media when the work for the movie began few years ago. The shooting of the film began near the end of 2012 and even when 2015 rolled in, the shooting was not completed. In 2015, the film has been set to resurface and the shooting has begun again, but under a completely different name, with the title Mesidona.

After one-year break Zero Degree was her following venture. The film was a psychological thriller written and directed by Animesh Aich and was released on 15 January 2015. The film was not a commercial success though it was critically acclaimed.

In 2015, Jaya worked in three other Indian Bangla films- Rajkahini based on the 1947 East and west Bengal separation which is directed by Srijit Mukherji, Ekti Bangali Bhuter Golpo a horror film directed by Indranil Roychowdhury and Kantho directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukhopadhyay. Ekti Bangali Bhuter Golpo was set for a world TV premier in Kolkata on May 17 in ZEE Bangla Cinema. Rajkahini is scheduled to release on 16 October 2015.

Jaya has signed up for a new Bangladeshi film. The actress will be seen as the lead character in director Mahmud Didar's upcoming film Beauty Circus. The shooting for the film is set to begin from November 2015 and the entire shoot will take place in the hilly areas.

“My goal as an artist is to funnel a pop record to a world in a very interesting way,” says Gaga, who wrote all of her lyrics, all of her melodies, and played most of the synth work on her album, The Fame (Streamline/KonLive/Cherrytree/Interscope). “I almost want to trick people into hanging with something that is really cool with a pop song. It’s almost like the spoonful of sugar and I’m the medicine.”
On The Fame, it’s as if Gaga took two parts dance-pop, one part electro-pop, and one part rock with a splash of disco and burlesque and generously poured it into the figurative martini glasses of the world in an effort to get everyone drunk with her Fame. “The Fame is about how anyone can feel famous,” she explains. “Pop culture is art. It doesn’t make you cool to hate pop culture, so I embraced it and you hear it all over The Fame. But, it’s a sharable fame. I want to invite you all to the party. The CD’s opener and first single, “Just Dance,” gets the dance floor rocking with it’s “fun, L.A., celebratory vibe.” As for the equally catchy, “Boys Boys Boys,” Gaga doesn’t mind wearing her influences on her sleeve. “I wanted to write the female version of Motley Crue’s ‘Girls Girls Girls,’ but with my own twist. “Beautiful Dirty Rich” sums up her time of self-discovery, living in the Lower East Side and dabbling in drugs and the party scene. “That time, and that song, was just me trying to figure things out,” says Gaga. “Once I grabbed the reigns of my artistry, I fell in love with that more than I did with the party life.” On first listen, “Paparazzi” might come off as a love song to cameras, and in all honestly, Gaga jokes “on one level it IS about wooing the paparazzi and wanting fame. But, it’s not to be taken completely seriously. It’s about everyone’s obsession with that idea. But, it’s also about wanting a guy to love you and the struggle of whether you can have success or love or both.”
Gaga shows her passion for love songs on such softer tracks as the Queen-influenced “Brown Eyes” and the sweet kiss-off break-up song “Nothing I can Say (eh eh).” “‘Brown Eyes’ is the most vulnerable song on the album,” she explains. “‘Eh Eh’ is my simple pop song about finding someone new and breaking up with the old boyfriend.”
For the new tour for this album, fans will be treated to a more polished version of what they saw (and loved) at her critically acclaimed Lollapalooza show in August 2007 and Winter Music Conference performance in March 2008. “This new show is the couture version of my handmade downtown performance of the past few years. It’s more fine-tuned, but some of my favorite elements to my past shows – the disco balls, hot pants, sequin, and stilettos – will still be there. Just more fierce and more of a conceptual show with a vision for pop performance art.”
It’s been a while since a new pop artist has made her way in the music industry the old-fashioned/grass roots way by paying her dues with seedy club gigs and self-promotion. The first step in becoming a model is knowing what type of modeling you want to do. There are quite a few areas to choose from–print focuses on magazine photo shoots while runway models walk the catwalk for labels. There are also more commercial options such as being a swimsuit or catalogue model. Plus size modeling has made an impact in the recent years too. No matter which area you choose, most female models start at the very minimum height of 5’7″ but closer to 6’0″ is preferred.

Find the Right Agency

Now, that you have figured out what type of modeling you want to do–look for an agency that specializes in the field. You can search online for agencies quite easily. A simple “model agency” query will garner a lot of results. Search for an agency that’s local to your area, and it’s important to remember to research an agency first. Think: What models do they represent? What type of jobs do they book? Are there complaints online about this agency?
And remember, if an agency asks for money upfront, you should stay away. So called “modeling” schools are also suspect too. There are plenty of scammers out there looking to take advantage of aspiring talent.

Take the Right Photos

After you have researched the right agencies for the field you are interested in, you will want to contact them. Most agencies have forms online where you can send in your photos and stats. Stats include your height, measurements and weight. They will also want to see photos of you. Don’t worry, you do not need to get a professional shoot done. Simple digital photos are what most agencies require. Make sure to do a head shot and full-length shot. Wear no makeup and a simple tank top and pants. Take the photo in natural light so people can see your features. Look for a response within (usually) 4 weeks.
Some agencies will do open calls, where they will see aspiring models from the street–bring your digitals or past professional work printed out. Once again, keep your styling minimal. You may be told you are not what they’re looking for or get a callback later.

 

Think Ahead

If you are lucky enough to get signed, you should also know all the difficulties that come with the job. Depending on the jobs you book, traveling can take you away from home a lot. Rejection is also something, especially at the beginning of the career, you need to get used to. Even if signed, some models have part-time jobs. That’s why we recommend having a backup plan just in case your modeling career doesn’t pan out. But, if you manage to make it, there is a world of opportunities. Katrina Kaif is one of eight siblings, all girls, from a mother who is a Caucasian of British Nationality, and a father who was formerly from Kashmir, India, but who has since acquired British citizenship. Dancing with the Stars is the name of several international television series based on the format of the British TV series Strictly Come Dancing, which is distributed by BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC. Charissa van Dipte, Pascal Maassen, Aerjen Mooijweer, Kimberley Smith, Jeroen Struijlaart and Marcus van Teijlingen appeared in both the Belgian and one of the two Dutch versions. Ingrid Beate Thompson appeared in the Norwegian and the Swedish versions of the show. Milan Placko dance 3 series in the Slovak version of the show (with Helena Vondráčková) and he dance one series in the Polish version (Taniec z gwiazdami) with Helena Vondráčková. Jan Kliment danced one series in the Czech version of the show and also he danced 4 series in polish version of the show. Stefano Terrazzino danced 6 series in polish version of the show and also he danced in 2 German series of the show.

Brendan Cole is a judge in the New Zealand TV series, and he is a professional dancer in the British version of the show, Strictly Come Dancing. There, he won the first series with the British TV news announcer, Natasha Kaplinsky. Lilia Kopylova appeared as a professional dancer in the British version, Strictly Come Dancing, and is now head judge on the Turkish version, Yok Böyle Dans.

The Bulgarian version of the program shares some dancers with the Vietnamese version. None of the professionals in the latter are Vietnamese.

Former competitors as hosts

Eight competitors have also hosted the TV show. The winner of series one of Strictly Come Dancing, Natasha Kaplinsky, stood in for the hostess Tess Daly, who was on maternity leave during series two. In the United States, the winner of series two of Dancing with the Stars, Drew Lachey, filled in for the hostess Samantha Harris, who was also on maternity leave for series five; Harris left the show after series nine and was replaced by series seven winner Brooke Burke. In Austria, the winner of series three, Klaus Eberhartinger, replaced the host Alfons Haider during series four. In series five, he was back as host while Klaus Eberhartinger filled in for him as a judge. In Vietnam, the series 1 runner-up Đoan Trang has taken the role of hostess due to Thanh Vân's pregnancy. In Poland, Katarzyna Skrzynecka from series one of Taniec z gwiazdami was host by 11 series (series 2-12). Piotr Gąsowski from series two became host on series 6. The runner-up of series ten, Natasza Urbańska became host in series 13. In The Netherlands, Lieke van Lexmond from the second series was the host of the fourth season of Dancing with the stars. Former host of the Dutch DWTS Sylvana Simons became later a competitor of the Dutch Strictly Come Dancing.
Judges in two different versions

Euvgenia Parakhina judges for the first time in de first season of the Dutch version of Strictly Come Dancing and the same year she became the new judge of the Belgium version Sterren op de Dansvloer. Parakhina was during the first and third season of the Dutch Dancing with the Stars one of the professionals.
