Elsa Benitez - Sexy Lady

Elsa Benitez

Mexican-born model Elsa Benitez graced the cover of Sports Illustrated's famous swimsuit issue in 2001. Her career seemed off to a promising start, but she took a break from the fast-paced fashion world to study acting and become a mother. She and her husband, former Miami Heat player Rony Seikaly, became parents to daughter Mila in 2003.
Born in 1977, Benitez is a native of Hermosillo, capital city of the northwest Mexican state of Sonora, about an hour's drive from the Gulf of California. Hermosillo, which lies on the Sonora River, is home to a Ford Motor Company manufacturing plant where the Escort model was once made, and is a thriving agricultural center as well. Growing up, Benitez idolized one of the top models of the 1980s, Linda Evangelista. As a young woman, she reached five feet, ten inches in height, and won a model-search contest in Costa Rica in 1995. She soon began finding work in Latin America, and then signed with Elite Model Management, the agency founded by John Casablancas and later run by Evangelista's husband, Gerald Marie.
Benitez first came to international attention modeling in Europe, and her nascent career was boosted immensely when influential photographer Steven Meisel began working with her. In 1996 she appeared on three covers of Italian Vogue. She also became a favorite of Italian designers Dolce e Gabbana, and appeared in their spring/summer collections shown in Milan in October of 1996. Stefano Gabbana told a writer for London's Observer newspaper, Roger Tredre, that he and Domenico Dolce felt that Benitez "embodies the Mediterranean woman," Gabbana enthused. "Her beauty reminds us of the actresses of the neo-realist Italian cinema, like Anna Magnani." At the time of the interview, Benitez still spoke just rudimentary English.
Benitez went on to work for designers Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, and Rena Lange; she has appeared in ad campaigns for Episode, J. Crew, and Nine West. Her biggest career coup, however, came early in 2001 when she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated's annual swimsuit issue. Under the heading "Goddesses of the Mediterranean," the model's sultry photo was captioned, "Elsa Benitez Heats Up Tunisia." The issue—a February tradition—is centered around an immense promotional blitz, and sales ordinarily hit the $50-million mark. Some of the world's top models had graced the SI cover before Benitez, among them Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Elle MacPherson, Christie Brinkley, and Cheryl Tiegs. Launched in 1964 as a way to lure readers during a slow sports-story month, the swimsuit issue grew racier over the years, and the exotic locales of its shoots are usually kept top-secret. "No matter where the magazine drapes its models, though, the issue manages to do one thing no other feature can: it gathers sports fans of every stripe beneath a single umbrella," noted a Financial Times report. "With the swimsuit issue in hand, no one complains that baseball lacks action, that hockey is too violent, that football is for those too fat or too dumb to play hockey."

At a Glance . . .

Born in 1977, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico; married Rony Seikaly (a professional athlete), 1999; children: Mila Seikaly.

Career: Won modeling contest in Costa Rica, 1995; signed with Elite Model Management; appeared in runway shows and ad campaigns for Dolce e Gabbana, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, and Rena Lange; appeared in ad campaigns for Episode, J. Crew, Victoria's Secret, and Nine West; appeared on the February 2001 cover of Sports Illustrated 's annual swimsuit issue.
Benitez's career for the rest of the year seemed promising: she became the spokesperson for Budweiser and Bud Light, and also appeared in ads for the Taco Bell fast-food chain and its new stuffed burrito menu item. One television commercial for the product featured a dream sequence of her walking past two men, who are enamored of the burrito she is carrying, not her. "Agency creatives said the Mexican-born Benitez will help the product earn quick recognition with fickle fast-food customers," wrote Justin M. Norton in AD-WEEK Western Edition. A representative of the San Francisco-based advertising agency involved, Tom O'Keefe, told the trade journal that Benitez "is the ideal spokesperson, because she perfectly embodies the essence of the product."
Benitez appeared again in the 2002 SI swimsuit issue. The New York Post reported in March of 2002 that Sports Illustrated had struck a deal with the Playboy magazine empire to publish some of the other photos from the shoot in the German edition of Playboy. Some of the models—Klum and Eva Herzigova among them—objected to the deal, claiming that the models had not been consulted, and had not signed waivers allowing the publication of outtakes from the shoot in which they were nude in some cases.

Benitez seemed to drop out of the public eye afterward, however. She wed Rony Seikaly, whom she had met in 1997, and was dividing her time between their homes in Miami and New York City. The basketball player, who retired from the New Jersey Nets in 2000, was the first Lebanese player in NBA history, and stands at an impressive six feet, eleven inches. Seikaly was nonplussed by the attention his wife usually received in public. "I've always said I'm the luckiest guy in the world, not because she's beautiful on the outside, but because she's beautiful on the inside, too," Seikaly once told the New York Post. Benitez gave birth to daughter Mila in February of 2003. She has begun taking acting lessons and harbors an ambition for a film career, in both Spanish- and English-language productions.

Natasha Poly Hot Russian Girl

Lady Gaga

Bio
When Lady Gaga was a little girl, she would sing along on her mini plastic tape recorder to Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper hits and get twirled in the air in daddy’s arms to the sounds of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. The precocious child would dance around the table at fancy Upper West Side restaurants using the breadsticks as a baton. And, she would innocently greet a new babysitter in nothing but her birthday suit.
It’s no wonder that little girl from a good Italian New York family, turned into the exhibitionist, multi-talented singer-songwriter with a flair for theatrics that she is today: Lady Gaga.
“I was always an entertainer. I was a ham as a little girl and I’m a ham today,” says Lady Gaga, 23, who made a name for herself on the Lower East Side club scene with the infectious dance-pop party song “Beautiful Dirty Rich,” and wild, theatrical, and often tongue-in-cheek “shock art” performances where Gaga – who designs and makes many of her stage outfits -- would strip down to her hand-crafted hot pants and bikini top, light cans of hairspray on fire, and strike a pose as a disco ball lowered from the ceiling to the orchestral sounds of A Clockwork Orange.
“I always loved rock and pop and theater. When I discovered Queen and David Bowie is when it really came together for me and I realized I could do all three,” says Gaga, who nicked her name from Queen’s song “Radio Gaga” and who cites rock star girlfriends, Peggy Bundy, and Donatella Versace as her fashion icons. “I look at those artists as icons in art. It’s not just about the music. It’s about the performance, the attitude, the look; it’s everything. And, that is where I live as an artist and that is what I want to accomplish.”
That goal might seem lofty, but consider the artist: Gaga is the girl who at age 4 learned piano by ear. By age 13, she had written her first piano ballad. At 14, she played open mike nights at clubs such as New York’s the Bitter End by night and was teased for her quirky, eccentric style by her Convent of the Sacred Heart School (the Manhattan private school Nicky and Paris Hilton attended) classmates by day. At age 17, she became was one of 20 kids in the world to get early admission to Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Signed by her 20th birthday and writing songs for other artists (such as the Pussycat Dolls, and has been asked to write for a series of Interscope artists) before her debut album was even released, Lady Gaga has earned the right to reach for the sky.
“My goal as an artist is to funnel a pop record to a world in a very interesting way,” says Gaga, who wrote all of her lyrics, all of her melodies, and played most of the synth work on her album, The Fame (Streamline/KonLive/Cherrytree/Interscope). “I almost want to trick people into hanging with something that is really cool with a pop song. It’s almost like the spoonful of sugar and I’m the medicine.”
On The Fame, it’s as if Gaga took two parts dance-pop, one part electro-pop, and one part rock with a splash of disco and burlesque and generously poured it into the figurative martini glasses of the world in an effort to get everyone drunk with her Fame. “The Fame is about how anyone can feel famous,” she explains. “Pop culture is art. It doesn’t make you cool to hate pop culture, so I embraced it and you hear it all over The Fame. But, it’s a sharable fame. I want to invite you all to the party. I want people to feel a part of this lifestyle.”
The CD’s opener and first single, “Just Dance,” gets the dance floor rocking with it’s “fun, L.A., celebratory vibe.” As for the equally catchy, “Boys Boys Boys,” Gaga doesn’t mind wearing her influences on her sleeve. “I wanted to write the female version of Motley Crue’s ‘Girls Girls Girls,’ but with my own twist. I wanted to write a pop song that rockers would like.”
“Beautiful Dirty Rich” sums up her time of self-discovery, living in the Lower East Side and dabbling in drugs and the party scene. “That time, and that song, was just me trying to figure things out,” says Gaga. “Once I grabbed the reigns of my artistry, I fell in love with that more than I did with the party life.” On first listen, “Paparazzi” might come off as a love song to cameras, and in all honestly, Gaga jokes “on one level it IS about wooing the paparazzi and wanting fame. But, it’s not to be taken completely seriously. It’s about everyone’s obsession with that idea. But, it’s also about wanting a guy to love you and the struggle of whether you can have success or love or both.”
Gaga shows her passion for love songs on such softer tracks as the Queen-influenced “Brown Eyes” and the sweet kiss-off break-up song “Nothing I can Say (eh eh).” “‘Brown Eyes’ is the most vulnerable song on the album,” she explains. “‘Eh Eh’ is my simple pop song about finding someone new and breaking up with the old boyfriend.”
For the new tour for this album, fans will be treated to a more polished version of what they saw (and loved) at her critically acclaimed Lollapalooza show in August 2007 and Winter Music Conference performance in March 2008. “This new show is the couture version of my handmade downtown performance of the past few years. It’s more fine-tuned, but some of my favorite elements to my past shows – the disco balls, hot pants, sequin, and stilettos – will still be there. Just more fierce and more of a conceptual show with a vision for pop performance art.”
It’s been a while since a new pop artist has made her way in the music industry the old-fashioned/grass roots way by paying her dues with seedy club gigs and self-promotion. This is one rising pop star who hasn’t been plucked from a model casting call, born into a famous family, won a reality TV singing contest, or emerged from a teen cable TV sitcom. “I did this the way you are supposed to. I played every club in New York City and I bombed in every club and then killed it in every club and I found myself as an artist. I learned how to survive as an artist, get real, and how to fail and then figure out who I was as singer and performer. And, I worked hard.”
Gaga adds with a wink in her eye, “And, now, I’m just trying to change the world one sequin at a time.”

Background:
Tila Tequila is the stage name of Tila Nguyen. Born in Singapore to Vietnamese parents, Tila spent most of her life in the United States, where she eventually was discovered in a mall by a Playboy magazine scout. This lead to modeling jobs and appearances on reality TV and game shows.
Tila is also known for having close to two million MySpace friends.
A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila: MTV's A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila, aired in 2007.
The premise of the show was that Tila, a self-identified bisexual, was on a quest to find love from among both male and female contestants.
The show has been has been called everything from offensive to the worst reality TV show yet. Still, it had a strong following.
At the end of the season, Tila picked a male contestant. However, reports that the "relationship" had fizzled soon surfaced. Shortly after this, MTV announced that there would be a second season of the show.
Responses From the Bisexual Community: Sheela Lambert, the founder of the Bi Writers Association, blogged about her concerns with the show on the Huffington Post:

"The bi community spends much of its time fighting stereotypes and myths that don't accurately reflect who we are. People tend to associate us solely with our sexuality and forget that, like everyone else, we have other aspects to our lives. We fear that this show is more likely to add fuel to the fire of bisexual stereotypes, than to put them out."
Another view appeared in an article originally published in American Sexual Magazine. Nicole Kristal, a bisexual writer, says that despite the shows flaws:
"I've never had the opportunity before to watch a fellow bisexual woman struggle on national television with the disadvantages and advantages of dating both sexes, and for this reason alone, the show is truly groundbreaking."
Challenges to Her Sexual Orientation: Like many other bisexuals, Tila has had to face scrutiny over her sexual orientation, and the claim that she is not really bisexual.

Tila responded to these allegations on her website saying,
"One minute, back in the day when I was still modeling, people talked...about me for being "lesbian" for shooting sexy pictures with other females and now I'm too "straight" come one....who's really the confused one here? Definitely not me! HA!"

I want to marry him but I don't want to have sex before I get married. Am I wrong for this?

He is a great guy and we have been together for an year now. We love amd respect each other and we both see marriage in our future. But I have a firm resolution of not having sex before I marry. It's not a religious issue or something like that. I just don't want to do it with anyone but the man I marry. It's a special thing which I want to share with my husband only. Ofcourse things are great between me and my boyfriend and I do want to marry him at some point of time but life is highly uncertain. What if we break up down the line.. Then I will regret having sex with him. And the thing is he has been wanting to have sex with me lately. He says he loves me and since we are so serious about each other, there is no harm in doing it
When I say no to him he is obviously hurt. Am I being unreasonable here. I am 25 he is 36

The only thing wrong is you possibly not being clear about not wanting sex before marriage. It's great that you feel that way, and more women should. However if you've told him this, why is he still asking you. Does he not respect your wishes, or have you not told him?

You've been together for a year, so it's clear he's not just with you for sex. Are you doing other sexual things to satisfy each other? This may at least let him know you find him attractive and have a healthy sex drive. These might also be a concern of his.

If you don't want to be intimate with this man then that's your decision..

However you said that the reason isn't religious so could it potentially be that you are either scared of intimacy or that you can't imagine being intimate with this man in particular

Have you ever thought of him in a sexual way? Do you look forwards to having sex with this man or is it more that it's just part of a marriage?

Sex isn't a magical thing when it happens the first time, it's awkward and quite often fairly unpleasant- do you really want that to be your wedding night?could cause a fairly awkward situation especially if he's older and more experienced.

Ultimately it's your decision and whatever you do don't feel pressurised by anyone to do something you don't want to do. Maybe just think about the reasons that you don't want to do it and it may be more to do with the person you're with than actually how you feel.

Europe’s refugee crisis: Addressing the root causes of the mass migration is the only solution

Recently people woke up to heart-breaking images of a lifeless Syrian toddler who had drowned along with 11 others as the group tried to make its way to Greece. The images were a stark reminder of the massive tragedy that is unfolding on the shores of Europe as thousands of Syrians, Iraqis, Afghans and Africans undertake an extremely hazardous journey to seek asylum in the West. The mass migration has been described as the largest refugee crisis since World War II. What has compounded matters further is that Europe itself is dealing with an economic downturn and high levels of unemployment.
In such a scenario, Europe is facing a huge dilemma. The civil war in Syria and Iraq, the increasing violence in Afghanistan and the chaos in African nations like Libya have created millions of refugees who are trying to escape theatres of war and conflict. However, at the same time thousands of economic migrants are also tagging along in search of a better life.
Take the refugees from the African nation of Eritrea. Eritreans form the second largest group of refugees seeking asylum in Europe after Syrians. However, at present there’s no conflict in Eritrea. Yet people are leaving this small African nation because of a highly repressive government that has created a totalitarian regime. This presents a tricky situation for European countries. It’s one thing to accept asylum seekers fleeing conflict zones on humanitarian grounds. But accepting economic migrants at a time when many European countries are grappling with their own economic problems may be simply unfeasible.
This is precisely why many European countries such as Greece and Italy that have seen waves of refugees land on their shores are either waving them through to Germany and other northern European countries or blocking their journey further into Europe. What has added to the confusion is that under the Dublin Regulation refugees should be screened and their asylum applications processed in the countries where they arrive first. However, given the mass of humanity arriving on European shores many countries have stopped following the rules. Add to this the fact that countries like Germany and Sweden have opened their doors to refugees, especially from Syria, even though they aren’t the migrants’ first port of call.
In the midst of this chaos, many countries are even considering re-imposing border controls, reversing the open borders policy under the Schengen system for travel among 22 European Union countries. Plus, the ongoing influx of refugees is bound to provide a fillip to anti-immigration right-wing political groups in different parts of Europe. After all, assimilating such large numbers of people from diverse ethno-religious backgrounds, all at one go, is extremely difficult. Besides, there’s also the security risk of Islamic State terrorists/ sympathisers smuggling themselves into Europe among the refugees to carry out terrorist attacks.
All of this has given rise to calls for a common asylum policy for Europe to better manage and distribute the burden of incoming refugees. How Europe does this remains to be seen. Surely, it has to address the root of the problem – the ongoing civil war in Syria and Iraq as well as the genuine aspirations of the people in the Middle East and Africa. In fact, the two aren’t entirely unrelated. Fighting poverty in Africa, for example, would not only stem the outflow of economic migrants but also ensure that extremist groups like the Islamic State and its affiliates are unable to make inroads into vulnerable countries.
The North African nation of Morocco was able to grasp this reality quite early. As a result, it has initiated a series of economic cooperation programmes to boost development in the African countries of the Sahara and Sahel. Plus, Morocco has been actively pushing for international cooperation in fighting trans-national terrorism with special focus on the issue of foreign fighters. Against this backdrop, there’s a strong case for European nations to boost their cooperation with Morocco and jointly work on development programmes that seek to mitigate the economic, political and developmental distortions that are fuelling both conflicts and the mass migration to Europe.

I met my girlfriend when she was a boy

Transgender people are still badly stigmatised in the 21st century but, as the UK's first trans-themed TV show begins, we ask if their romantic partners have it even worse.

According to the transgender actress and campaigner Laverne Cox, who was nominated for an Emmy for her role in the Netflix series Orange is the New Black, “Most men who are attracted to and date transgender women are probably stigmatised more than trans women are.”
The UK’s first ever trans-themed sitcom, the BBC’s Boy Meets Girl, explores precisely these issues. The show tells the story of a trans woman starting a relationship with a younger man and how their community deals with their unusual romance.
We spoke to three couples to find out how challenging it is for trans people and their partners to come out.
These are their stories.
Civil servant Jacqui Gavin, 47, and consultant Stephen Gavin, 60, have been together for 23 years

“My first wife died of multiple sclerosis back in 1992,” says Stephen. “A few months later, some friends invited me to a party and I saw this stunning woman. I couldn’t understand why she was so quiet and shy given the way she looked. We started chatting and got on very well.
“At that point I didn’t know Jacqui was trans. I didn’t call her until a few months later, because I was still grieving, and we had our first date. That’s when she told me about her past. She was very upfront. I was fortunate because I’d already met Jacqui the woman.”
The fact that Stephen had met Jacqui post-transition without any knowledge of her past meant he had already started to fall for her.
“I suppose I did have a preconception of what trans people would be like, and would look like,” he says. “But she didn’t fit into any of that.”

Jacqui transitioned in 1983, aged 15, after moving out of her family home in Scotland. “I left because of difficulties being bullied at school. I was living in London waiting on tables. I remember putting on make-up and just feeling like me.
“But then, at 16, I had to return home because my mum was ill. I had to ‘detransition’ which was hard. I joined the RAF. One day they found a bra and knickers in my bag. I could have said they were a girlfriend’s but I didn’t want to lie.
“I was called in for a meeting with my supervisors who were furious. They were going to demote me - but I decided to just leave instead.”
Jacqui began gender reassignment surgery and, aged 20, started modelling. She had a successful career but after a tabloid ‘outed’ her a year later (her clients hadn’t known she was trans), she says, “I was dropped like a stone because I wasn’t seen as a woman anymore.”
A few years later, she met Steve. And in 1995, the couple wed. “It was tough to find somewhere to get married,” says Jacqui. “The Gender Recognition Act didn’t come in until 2004 so we couldn’t do it in the UK. We ended up going to the Caribbean.”

Steve says he didn’t experience much stigma – to his surprise, even his traditional Catholic father accepted Jacqui’s past immediately. By this point he’d already known her for two years and said, “As far as I’m concerned, Jacqui is and always will be the most beautiful daughter-in-law.”
But, in 1995, newspapers got hold of their wedding photos and connected them to Jacqui’s modelling career.
“It was everywhere,” says Steve. “All over the media. Back then it was probably still seen as, ‘Are you gay?’ People think you’re going out with a bloke.
“Of course you worry about what people think. But then you find out that people who are worth a damn, don’t give a damn.”

Why Mayweather Has No Product Endorsement: A Sports Marketing Analysis

Every year, over a combined billion people watch marquee sporting events, like the Super bowl, the NBA Play-Offs and WWE Wrestlemania. The Super bowl alone attracts more than 160 million people (bigger than half of the US population), and in certain parts of the spectacle, the full viewership will have their eyes fixed on the game. So, it should come as no surprise that some advertisers are willing to spend US$ 3.5 million on a 30-second ad just to reach their audience and grab their attention.

Highest Paid Athlete vs Brand Ambassador
Although Boxing does not enjoy the level of popularity of other sporting and entertainment events such as football, soccer, basketball and professional wrestling, the mega-fight between two of the greatest boxers of today (and maybe even in history), Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, is touted to draw billions of Dollars, billed by some analysts as the “biggest payday in sports history”. The massive amount of profit waiting for the promoters, and the boxers and their entourage is expected to come from ticket sales, pay-per-view subscriptions, and product endorsements.
Manny Pacquiao’s career earnings after the fight will reach an estimated US$ 425 million, paving his way into an elite group of highest-earning active athletes, which includes Tiger Woods, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. Pacquiao receives paychecks not only from his promoters, but also from his endorsements, such as HP, Sony, Henessy, Monster Energy and San Miguel Beer. But, while Manny Pacquiao is raking in millions through endorsements alone (his fighting shorts is estimated to be worth more than US$ 2.3 million), Floyd Mayweather is conspicuously devoid of any.

Bad Reputation Means Bad Marketing
Experts say that Mayweather is undoubtedly popular and that people are excited to watch him, but his reputation and history discourages sponsors from being associated with him. Mayweather has pleaded guiltily to domestic violence charges in at least three separate occasions, and he has served two months in jail for attacking the mothers of his 9- and 10-year old sons in front of them. He was also found guilty of the same charge in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
Mayweather also has some nasty mic habits, hurling racist and homophobic comments about other boxers, including Pacquiao. And unlike other athletes who work hard to re-gain the lost trust and affection of their fans when they get into trouble, Mayweather has never acknowledged or apologized for his transgressions.
Despite this, Mayweather is the world’s highest paid athlete, and he has reached that distinction solely through his in-ring earnings. For the May 2 mammoth match, Mayweather is to earn an estimated US$ 120 million.

Largest Economic Impact in Boxing History
Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao weighed in on 1st May 2015 with a strong 12,000 fans watched at the arena. This was the most lucrative weigh-in in the history of boxing.
The entry to the weigh-in at the MGM Grand Garden Arena cost $10, but the ticket resale online and on the street skyrocketed at $800. This is just the weigh-in ticket.
The ticket sales for the fight night on 2nd May 2015 at the ring side is a whooping $141,575 USD per person. The projected ticket revenue is $74M, exceeds 6 games of 2013 World Series ($62.6) and Super Bowl XLIX Live Gate ($60M). The expected pay-per-view revenue is larger than the GDP of 29 countries. If the fight goes the distance to 12th Round, Mayweather and Pacquiao will split approximately $130,000 per second, on pay-per-view revenue alone. Expected revenue for the bout will surpass $400M, the largest in boxing history.

Sports Celebrity Endorsement: Marketing 101
Sports celebrities are ideal for businesses to linked with to project relevant aspects of their brand and products. Sports heroes can personify success, tenacity, resilience, teamwork, innovation, and determination despite vulnerability. Their performance in their respective fields, be it on court, on clay, on grass, or inside the ring or squared-circle impacts the viewers in more ways than any other media. Spectators feel awe when they experience jaw-dropping surge in speed, display of power, mind-breaking coordination or calm under tremendous pressure. Such a sensation could only be transmitted by sports stars, whose display of skills and mastery rise above and beyond the confusing web of messages conveyed by myriad companies through different channels.

Linking one’s brand to a personality should, however, come with utmost calculation and caution. Even as sports celebrities guard their reputation in public, they remain to be humans and can at times be susceptible to the temptations of wealth, popularity and ill-advice.

Let me count the ways

Buy your beloved a book of love poems at the nearest bookstore. It doesn't really matter whether you choose Shakespearean sonnets, love poems by Rumi, the 13th century Persian poet, or a volume of modern verse. A book of love poems can transform your last-minute purchase into a gift of timeless beauty.

No reservations? No problem

What could be better than a romantic dinner on Valentine's Day? But getting last-minute reservations may be nearly impossible. Rather than settle for something less than perfect, make your own romance with a picnic featuring food from your favorite deli or gourmet shop. If the February weather is too wet or cold where you live, find an indoor alternative: a car parked at a favorite overlook; your high-rise office with a glittering view of the city lights; the cabin of a borrowed boat or RV; or a blanket at home in front of the fire.

Try a little bling

As a Valentine's Day gift, jewelry is a time-tested classic, and you can often find last-minute deals on a wide range of great pieces. A beautiful pendant or earrings for her; a handsome bracelet or watch for him. Whatever you choose, jewelry is a Valentine's Day gift that is sure to please.

Smile for the camera

Use your video camera to record an intimate message that will leave no doubt about the depth and intensity of your love. It's a last-minute gift that your beloved can keep and treasure -- and replay again and again.

Frame it

If a picture is worth a thousand words, why not send your beloved an eloquent Valentine's Day message with a framed photo that declares your love? Whether you choose an image of the two of you or one that evokes a memory you share, the right photo will make your Valentine's Day picture perfect.

Start a love journal

Buy a nicely bound journal and write on the first page, sharing just one of the many things you appreciate about the man or woman of your dreams. Make this year's Valentine's Day gift the journal and that first romantic page. Then pledge to write a new entry each day of the coming year, and give your beloved the
completed journal on Valentine's Day next year.

Get a room

You don't have to fly to Paris to have a romantic evening. Call around to local hotels and book a last-minute room for two. February is the off-season for travel in most places, so you should have no problem finding a boudoir for the night that will fit both your budget and your mood.

Say it with ink

Be spontaneous! Make a permanent declaration of love with matching tattoos. Actually, they don't have to match. You can each get a tattoo that has meaning not only for you but also for the person you love, and together make a statement that time can't erase.

Yahoo Publisher Network or AdSense?

Yahoo Publisher network (YPN) and Google AdSense are the leading and most popular PPC (pay-per-click) programs. If you are running a website and wish to earn money through business promotion by displaying ads on your website, then don’t look any further. However the most intriguing question is that which program is the best and that which of the two offers higher profit. Well, this is a tough question to answer. Google AdSense is rated as the most prolific and market-leading PPC affiliate program in terms of affiliate base. But Yahoo is not far behind and has its own benefits too.

Which is Better? Google AdSense or Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN)?

Based on analysis, Google AdSense provides better CTR (click-through-rate) which means whenever a person visits your website, greater are the chances of generating clicks from the visitor. The more people visit and click the Ads, the more money the advertisers will pay to the website owner.
The reason is that, Google Ads are more content specific and target audience better than Yahoo Ads. But on the other hand, Yahoo provides a better CPC (cost-per-click) than Google AdSense. CPC is nothing but the percentage of commission the affiliate programs pays per click. For a single click, Yahoo pays more than Google. Google typically pays around 30%-40% whereas Yahoo pays 60%-70% for a click.

Due to the above mixed features, one should decide which ads to display on their sites. If your web page is good enough to attract substantial number of visitors per month, there won’t be much of a difference between the revenue paid by Google and Yahoo, though experts say that Google can attract more number of visitors due to better content target ads. Most people regularly switch between Google AdSense and Yahoo publisher ads to check which program generates better revenue for their websites.
Note: If you have both Google AdSense and Yahoo publisher affiliate accounts, I would personally suggest that you display Google ads on a set of websites and Yahoo ads on another set of websites. It’s better to display Google ads on specific content oriented sites and Yahoo ads on non-content oriented sites such as entertainment sites. Users browsing non-content oriented site such as an entertainment site are more likely to click on a variety of Ads as opposed to a content visitor who is more likely to click on related topic. Since Yahoo ads are less relevant as compared to Google ads, displaying them on professional content oriented sites would not be a better idea.
