How To Make Money Online With Google Adsense

There are so many ways to grow and monetize your blog that it might feel overwhelming. Knowing where to begin or how to implement money making strategies can be daunting. How To Make Money Online With Google Adsense

Nothing is overnight, and blogging is not a “get rich quick” scenario, but if you’re ready to leap into monetization with ads, here’s what you need to know.

1) Apply to Adsense

The first step is to apply to Google Adsense (or whatever advertising network you’re interested in). Something to note is that not all advertising agencies play nice with others. Some require a contact and a promise to not work with a competing network (for example, Mode Media and BlogHer). Google Adsense will want to see that you have a privacy policy, a neat navigation bar, quality relevant content, and that Google Analytics is installed and working correctly. Google can then price your ads based on your page views. When you’re accepted, be sure to follow the rules. Don’t click on your own ads, and only have three per page.

2) Get started with Adsense

Familiarize yourself with their policies, and you can use their Adsense Academy to learn more about how to start making money on your blog. The idea is that you are getting paid per click. The commission you earn will vary, although it’s safe to say that you will earn pennies per click. That might not seem like a lot, but if you have a high quality blog with relevant content and ads, it could turn into a payday. Just remember that a high quality blog with great content will bring traffic to your site.

3) Customize Adsense Ads

What real estate on your blog are you willing to turn over to ads? Your sidebar, below your blog post, and at the top of your page are popular places. The key is to think about your site design and where a reader’s eyes go. I have found more success with ads that are either in the post itself or above the comments. Sidebar advertisements do not seem to work as well on my blog, and perhaps it is because readers gloss over my sidebar since they are so used to seeing ads. You can choose display ads and customize the colors within Google Adsense. You can even create custom channels to have some control over the content that is displayed.

4) Don’t have too many ads for Adsense

Too many ads may discourage a reader from continuing on your website. Keep your blog clean and organized and weave ads into your content organically.

5) Diversify: Google Adsense

If your ad revenue doesn’t seem up to par after you’ve experimented with it over the course of a few months, don’t be afraid to try something new. Google Adsense is just one network and one way to monetize your website. You can add sponsored content, sidebar advertising, affiliate sales, or other advertising networks to your website.

Don’t forget to check your stats regularly so you can tweak your monetization strategy. You can download the Google Adsense app on your phone (with an iPhone or Android device), and you can check activity on the go. Google Adsense may not be my favorite way to earn money on my website, but it is just one avenue (of many!) that is worthwhile for a blogger to pursue.

How much money can you make with Google AdSense?

When you are building a website and want to make money from it, one of the first questions you are likely to ask is "How much money can you make with Google AdSense?" It is a fair question because honestly, that number can change based on a lot of factors.

How much traffic does your site have? What type of ads will Google run on your site? How much money are advertisers willing to pay per click?

It is important that you ask those questions. A lot of people just hear about the success stories of other people making money on the internet and think that it is easy and anybody can do it. The reality is you can make as much money with Google AdSense as you are willing to put effort in. It's not easy money, it takes work and skill, just like anything else in life.

The Key Factors In Making Money With Google AdSense

There are many factors you need to consider when trying to estimate how much money you can make with AdSense. The most obvious factors people look at are traffic and estimated cost per click. What you might not consider is ad placement and ad design/type. Also, you now have to consider your audience's device in your AdSense ad strategy. If you aren't looking at all the factors, you are leaving money on the table.

Website Traffic and Pageviews

The only way you are going to make money with advertising on the internet is if you have an audience. You need people to visit your website and in the case of Google AdSense, some small portion of those people need to click on your ads. If nobody clicks your ads, then you aren't going to make money. That's just the way it is.

If You are from India or Bangladesh then You should read the below article

Make Money With Google AdSense from Bangladesh & India

On average anywhere from 1-10% of your visitors might click on an ad, so just to be safe assume some low number like 1%. To calculate how much your ads are worth, you can take the cost per click and multiply it by the number of clicks you can expect to get based on your traffic. So, if you have 100 page views and a click through rate of 1%, you will get 1 click on average. If your CPC (cost per click) is $1, then you might make $1 per 100 page views. The same formula is used to determine CPM, which is the cost per 1,000 ad views. In the case of the above estimate, you are looking at a CPM of $10.

How to Easily Increase Your Google Adsense Revenue (Easy Way)

Now, given an average CPM, it becomes pretty obvious how traffic impacts how much money you can make with Google AdSense. At $10 CPM, you need 10,000 pageviews to make $100. Next time you see a picture of someone holding up an AdSense check, think about how much traffic they needed to make that money. For many people, it is not possible to get that much traffic.

The question for you is, how much traffic do you think you can get to your website? How much are you already getting? Traffic is going to play a big role in how much money you can make from Google AdSense.

How Much Will Advertisers Pay?

You have to look at the cost per click, or CPC, numbers to get an idea of how much advertisers are willing to pay. It is as simple as that. If you are writing about a topic that advertisers aren't buying ads for, you aren't going to get paid much. For example, say you write a lot about something without a lot of advertisers like "white snow in the north pole". There are no advertisers trying to sell products or services in the north pole really. If there are advertisers, they aren't paying much because there is no competition. That means the CPC will be very low for your ads.

How to Earn Money Through Google Adsense

Imagine instead you write a lot about "diamond engagement rings". Guess what? There are a lot of businesses that want to sell diamond engagement rings because they sell for a lot of money and have a good markup. Think about every mall you go shop in or when you watch television for a while. There are tons of jewelry stores that want to sell diamond engagement rings. They all pay a fortune in advertising to get people to buy their products. On the internet, that high level of advertising spend and competition means you are going to see a higher CPC for the ads you run on your site. That means each click is worth more and you will make more.

Ad Placement Is Paramount

How often do you click on ads on the internet?
If you are like most people, it isn't often. Now, second question.
How often do you click small ads at the bottom of a long webpage?
I'm guessing never.

This is common sense right? People don't click on ads often to begin with. Putting ads in places where people aren't likely to click on them doesn't make a whole lot of sense as a publisher or an advertiser. That is why ad placement is so important to Google AdSense. If you have bad ad placement, you will have a low click through rate (also called CTR). If you click through rate is low, you will get fewer clicks and make less money.
So what does a good ad placement look like? Well, it usually boils down to one rule. Ads that are close to the content get clicked.

If you put ads closer to the content, they are more likely to be seen and clicked on. It's a pretty simple idea, but it's one that a lot of websites mess up over and over again. So, you have to have a good ad placement near the content. Some sites will put their main ad block inside the first paragraph of an article and that can work really well if it makes sense for your design. Also a large leaderboard ad at the top of the page can work well.

Also, Google AdSense limits you to three ads. If you want to maximize your earnings you are going to have the most success focusing on having just one ad unit and getting the best placement for that ad on your site. Then, consider a second, but many times you'll make more by having just one or two ads, than if you try and put ads all over your site.

Ad Design and Mobile Devices

A lot of times people slap ads on their site with no thought to the design and how it will impact click through rates or overall user experience. Also, with mobile devices, you can assume everybody is going to be visiting your website on a laptop of desktop computer. Mobile traffic can be as high as 50% on many websites. If your ad design is solely based on traditional computers, you are missing out on a lot of opportunity.

How to Add Google Adsense Wire Transfer Payment Method Bangladesh

Google now provides a responsive ad block which works well with mobile devices, like smartphones and tablets. However, if your site isn't built for responsive design, this is not going to make sense for you. If you want to make the most money possible from Google AdSense, your site is going to need to be responsive. Otherwise you will be creating a bad user experience for more and more people who come to your site. More than that, people will leave your site without ever clicking on an ad.

So how much money can you make with Google AdSense?

If you can do well with all the things above, you can make a lot of money with Google AdSense. Some people make thousands of dollars a month with AdSense. Other people make $10 a month with AdSense. It boils down to how much traffic you can get, your ad placement, your niche, and your site design. If you get good at those things, you can make a lot. If you are bad at any of those things, you will be leaving money on the table. In some cases, you might be leaving a lot of money on the table.

Best 3 ways to make money with Clicksor

Clicksor is a contextual advertising network that is undoubtably superior to Google Adsense. If you don't know what contextual advertising is, let me explain. Contextual advertising is known as content-targeted advertising. It works by publishing your text, graphic or rich media advertisement on the relevant affiliated websites that best match your selected targeted keywords or channels. For example, if you have a product about gardening, you can use contextual advertising to promote your product on websites related to gardening.
So why do I think that Clicksor is superior to Adsense? I mean, they both use contextual advertising. Well, for one, Clicksor features a much wider variety of ad formats as shown below.

In addition to this, Clicksor also pays their publishers every 15 days versus one whole month with Adsense. This is one thing that publishers like myself appreciate a lot. So, what are the 3 ways to make money with Clicksor?

Here are some features you can use to make money with Clicksor.
  1. Publisher Solution - If you own a website, you can use it to make money by adding Clicksor ads. As a publisher, you receive up to 60% revenue share of advertising revenue. Your minimum payout is $50 and you can get paid every 15 days. Become a Publisher.

A Beginner's Guide To Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing allows people to sell a variety of products online through their blogs or website. If you are looking for an easy way to monetize your website, you can easily implement affiliate marketing into your site.
The basic concept is signing up for an affiliate marketing network and finding products that are within your niche. Once you find the product that is within your niche, you click on the hoplink to add your affiliate ID to the product link. When a reader clicks on your hoplink and buys the item, you get a commission for the sale. Although this sounds simple, there are a few things that you need to know before you get started.
Here is a simple guide for affiliate marketing beginners.

Choosing Your Affiliate Network

The affiliate network that you choose will have a lot to do with the type of products that you are selling. Different affiliate networks will focus on different items. Some affiliate networks like Commission Junction mainly focus on selling website subscriptions and services while ClickBank will focus on digital products like ebooks and software packages.
Determine what affiliate network is going to fit best into your niche. For instance, if you’re running a website that offers advice on insurance, you can use a lead based affiliate network to promote insurance quotes. Some affiliate networks are known for late payments and other bad business practices so do your research before hand.

Choosing Products

When you’re first starting out you’re going to be inundated with different products for marketing. There first thing that you need to do is research on the products that you’re going to promote. Unlike your niche where you are focusing on a small market, you can expand your product base and offer a wide variety of products or lead generating links when you’re marketing to readers.
Don’t go overboard, but have a couple of items that are relevant to your niche. Whether these are ebooks or software packages, your readers have broad based needs within your niche so you should appeal to every aspect of their need. Click on the “Gravity” or “Network Earnings” options on the affiliate network for stats on what products are selling the best.

Buy The Product

How are you going to give real information about a product if you have never used it? When somebody comes to your website they are looking for information on the product. If you don’t give them detailed information then they are going to leave the site and probably never come back.
Buy the item so you know the ins and outs of what you’re trying to sell. Never give broad information about a product or you’re going to come off as scammy. You will be glad that you bought the product instead of just trying to fake your way through a review to do online marketing for it.

Be Honest

Affiliate marketing is all about being honest with a product. If there are things that you don’t like about the product, tell your reader. This will differentiate you from the other marketers trying to sell them a product based on the features.
When you explain what you don’t like about the item you show that you actually know what it does and what it doesn’t do. You can easily build rapport with your readers and establish online trust. This will bring them back to your website when they need a new product or are wondering about different websites that you’ve tried out.

Cloaking

Almost everybody knows what a hoplink looks like. When you put hoplinks on your website, a reader is going to know that you’re trying to sell them something. These links are not only telltale signs of a sale; they are not aesthetically appealing to your websites. Cloaking your links is the best way to keep the website looking professional while not coming off as a hard sell.
You can use cloaking tools or you can use an anchor text link. This allows you to embed a link within a certain phrase. For instance, if you’re trying to sell an ebook on acne you can add your hoplink to “Acne Ebook” so that when the phrase is clicked the reader is taken to the product page.

Viral Media

Viral media is an easy way to drum up traffic to your site or blog. If you are going with a hosting plan then you will be able to easily host videos on your site. If you don’t have a hosting plan, head over to HostGator and buy one.
This is very cheap and will give you the freedom to upload and house your videos per your website or blog. Record yourself going over the product or take screenshots of the product to show the different features. Also talk about what you don’t like about the item to keep your readers informed. Video marketing is a great way to generate traffic.

Best Websites for Teens to Earn Money Online

Every year, high school and college students find themselves scrambling for ways to make some easy money during summer break, or even during the school year.
Unfortunately, there aren’t many decent paying jobs available for teens, especially in a rough economic climate. However, there are a number of websites that offer very easy money for teens online.
For a teenager who is disciplined and responsible, online jobs are the easiest way to earn a significant wad of cash year-round.

Websites That Offer Easy Money for Teens

Teenagers today have an assortment of skills that are useful on the Internet. For those who are skilled writers, earning money will be that much simpler. Additionally, there are well paying jobs available for teenagers who know how to write web pages or programs, are skilled at making crafts or collecting antiques, or are just interested in making a bit of cash from using the web like normal.
Finding those opportunities often involves wading through a mountain of garbage and scams. This article will provide teens with a complete guide for the best opportunities on the web that offer easy money for teens.

1. Sell Local Things Online

One of the easiest ways to make money fast, especially if you already have a pile of “junk” in your basement just collecting dust, is to sell your goods online. You may think that as a teen you have nothing worth selling, but you’d be surprised. Old video games, game consoles and even certain books often sell for more than you might expect on eBay.

Even if you don’t have anything, if you can get your parents to lend you $100 to $200 in “starter funds”, you can go to AuctionZip, find an antiques auction near you, and buy some box lots of vintage goods you can sell on eBay for profit.

I don’t suggest this lightly. This is actually how I personally started making a fair amount of cash on the Internet years ago, so I know that it works. It does take work — traveling to antiques, carrying stuff around, photographing, listing and packaging – but if you enjoy this kind of thing, you’re going to love selling antiques on eBay.
Even if you know nothing about antiques and have no interest going to auctions, you might consider actually making things like crafts, signs, pins or even electronics, and selling that on Etsy.

Teens under 18 are allowed to use Etsy to sell goods, so long as their parents are the ones managing the accounts.
Another place to sell stuff online — whether it’s crafts, antiques or anything else, is Craigslist.

Craigslist is fast becoming the go-to website for everything from apartment hunting to car shopping and everything in between. Become a seller there and you’ll have a huge audience of people looking to buy your stuff.

2. Easy Income for Teens Who Can Write Articles

For any teen that has excellent writing skills, the Internet offers an abundance of cash just sitting there for the taking.
Yes, it may take a full eight hours a day of good solid writing work — but what could be better than rolling out of bed at ten in the morning and going to your summer job at home, in your pajamas? Sounds too good to be true? Well put on your pajamas and check out these opportunities.

At ArticleSale.com, you can write as many articles as you like, and put them up for sale on the site.

articles-sale
Prices for most new articles on the site range from between $2 to $7, but as you gain experience and sales, those prices will go up because people will recognize that experience. The downside to this particular site is that you have to sit around waiting for your articles to sell — and many of them may not. There are no guarantees.

A similar site as this is Constant Content, where you can also post your articles for sale to potential buyers.

constant-content
Sales for these articles are typically listed at around $20 to $25 for “usage” (meaning the buyer only buys rights to publish once, but doesn’t own the copyright), or $40 to $100 for “Full” rights.
Typically, buyers will buy usage rights, but since prices are higher, you really need to sell your article by making the summary field very compelling.
If writing random articles isn’t quite your thing, you might consider writing reviews for Sponsored Reviews instead.
sponsored-reviews
The catch here is that you need to already have your own established blog or website. Sponsored Reviews essentially serves as the middle man, to get you companies willing to sponsor content on your blog. They pay you via Sponsored Reviews, and you publish the review article on your blog. That’s it.
If you don’t have your own blog, you can still make money by writing on the Internet. However, if you’re just getting started, you’re going to have to start writing for websites that pay bottom-dollar for articles. One such site is Demand Studios (now known as StudioD).

demand-studios
You can apply here, and most likely get accepted as an author, but you’ll need to wade through long lists of really weird and surreal topics to find one that you can even figure out how to write about. One former Demand Studios author explained the experience as follows:
“I immediately began searching in their ‘Find Assignments’ section, looking for a topic that would be appropriate for me to write about. That was my first reality check. This section can be quite laughable, to put it nicely. For example, when I searched their section on animals, looking specifically for dog-themed assignments, some of the topics under this heading included ‘How to Change the Heating Coil in a 1994 Cavalier,’ ‘How to Troubleshoot an Airhandler Float Switch,’ and ‘What are IRS Plan Disqualification Penalties’.”
The cold, hard truth about online writing is that you have to start somewhere, and that somewhere means writing really boring articles for peanuts — and lots of them. Once you build a reputation and a large online profile of articles, your name alone can earn you much more per article, but this takes years.

There are some sites that may serve you better. For example, Writers Domain promises $15 to $17.50 for a standard article, assuming you pass the application process.

writers-domain
Of course, it isn’t fair to assume that just because you’re a teenager, you don’t have the writing skills or experience to achieve higher-paying writing gigs. Maybe you’ve been running your own successful blog for years. That’s experience, and that’ll land you writing jobs easily.

One of the best places to monitor for regular new online writing gigs is the jobs board at ProBlogger.

problogger

Of course, if you feel like you have what it takes to write in the big leagues – in print – you might purchase an inexpensive monthly subscription to Writers Market, and pour over the database listings.

writers-market
You’ll find everything from publishing agents and publishing companies to magazine article job postings and even writing contests! Spend time every day writing for a few of the opportunities found here, and you never know, you may become one of the youngest published authors in your community!

3. Make Money Doing Reviews

Okay, so maybe you don’t write at all. That doesn’t mean that you can’t find a good way to make money online. There’s a lot more to the web than just writing content.
One of the most popular reasons many people use the Internet is to research products before buying them. This has turned online “reviews” into one of the most popular types of content on the web.
If you like sharing your opinion about products and services, then there are countless opportunities to earn income from your opinions. One of the coolest websites like this is MusicXray, which will pay you for listening to and giving feedback about music!

If you’re a music lover, you may find it hard to believe you can make money listening to music, but it’s a fact.
Or you could take the usual route of writing up reviews about actual products at a site like SliceThePie.
slice-the-pie
For a site like this to be profitable, you’ll need to devote a good part of your day to completing reviews for the site. Just doing one or two may not appear to pay out a whole lot, but if you stay dedicated to it every day, you could earn some pretty decent cash.
A similar review site to this is one called Reviewstream. Reviewstream has plenty of categories to review. Everything from Airlines and baby products to education and electronics.
reviewstream
Yet again, individual review earnings aren’t huge, but with this kind of work it’s all about putting in the hard work and developing a high volume of reviews over time. Before you know it, you’ll be raking in the dough.

Amazon Affiliate Program Review

This post may contain affiliate links. All opinions are 100% my own.

The Amazon Associates Program is a popular way to make money as a blogger. The product selection is plentiful and this is one of the most trusted retailers on the internet. If you are just getting started with the Amazon affiliate program, here is what you need to know.

Amazon Affiliate Program Review

Commission Structure – Amazon refers to commissions as “Advertising Fees.” The standard advertising fee starts at 4% for most items, though a few of their verticals (partner stores) may be as high as 15%. For most Amazon products, there is a Performance Fee Structure based on your sales volume.

  • Check – $100 minimum
Pros
  • Easy to implement, even for beginner affiliate marketers
  • Huge variety of products to promote
  • Well-known and trusted merchant
  • You can link to individual products easily rather than having only a generic creative available.
Cons
The cookie duration is short – 24 hours UpdatedNot so fast! You can
  • actually receive credit for sales for up to 89 days.
  • Some complain that the commission rate is low. However, I find it comparable to other big merchants for which I am an affiliate.
  • The Amazon Associates Program is prohibited in some states. However, Skimlinks is a way around this that I have mentioned on this blog several times in the past.
I personally love the Amazon affiliate program. My conversion rate is far higher than what I see for the majority of the programs I promote. This likely has much to do with Amazon being a familiar name in the online world. I’m sure the fact that they take PayPal doesn’t hurt.
I have also found that people not only purchase things other than what you promoted in most cases, they often purchase more than one item. Amazon usually has free shipping on orders over $35. This works in your favor. As a shopper, if I have $29 worth of items in my cart and my options are receive $29 worth of stuff and pay $6 in shipping or find another $6 item that I want and get free shipping, I’m finding another small item to add to my purchase.

You know the holiday shopping season is here already. I’m planning on Amazon being my new best friend for the next few months.

You should do this so that your blog structure remains consistent throughout your blog, and so that you cover all of the points you were planning on covering. You will also find that it makes writing your blog posts easier, quicker and helps to a create more balanced writing style.

#2 favorite topics
This is a common “newbie” mistake. They will come into blogging full of ideas and topics that they want to write about, and they will use up all of their best stuff within the first few months. After that they will be scratching around for ideas and will probably get bored. Your best bet is to space out your topics and write larger and more in-depth articles on your topics. You then break them up, create new introductions for each and post them as separate blog posts.

#3. Keep it up and do not quit

#3. Keep it up and do not quit
Most blogs start with a big flurry of enthusiasm and then within six months the blogger has given up or only blogs once per month. Most blogs do not make it to the two year mark, which is the reason why so many of the blogs you see these days do not have hundreds and hundreds of blog posts on them (unless they allow guest blog posting). So, the first piece of advice you should take is to keep it up, and make a vow to yourself that you are not going to quit after a few weeks.

#4. You only need to post once per week

#4 post once per week
A lot of people start out and they have lots of topics they want to cover. So they will post twice per week, or three times per week if they are over enthusiastic. But, this is a frequency that is difficult to keep up. If you do decide to keep it up then you are going to struggle to create high quality content. And, if you do not keep it up then what was the point of making frequent posts during the early months? The best frequency is once per week, as most people expect that anyway.

#5. Learn that loyal viewers make up most of your traffic

#5 loyal viewers
New bloggers and moronic web marketers think that blogging traffic is made up of new viewers, but it is not. New viewers are not as abundant as you think. It is loyal viewers that come back every week that make up most of your blog traffic. You must tend to them instead of constantly trying to chase new viewers.

#6. Install an RSS feed into your blog

#6 add rss feed
This is a vital tool if you want to retain your loyal viewers. They remind people that your blog still exists, they tell people when your blog is posted and they give people a link to your blog. It is the perfect tool for retaining your blog readers.

#7. Plan the blog posts of the next 3 months

#7 3 months future
This strategy will help you to avoid the occasional bout of writers block. Writers block occurs as a sort of biological process. There will come days when you simply cannot think of anything to write. If this happens on the week that you are supposed to write your blog post then you are going to be in trouble. If you have already planned the topics and created a bit of an outline for the next three months, then you will have to suffer three months of writers block before you have any trouble.

#8. Use a scheduling tool to post your blog posts

#8 post schedule
This is common sense because it means that your blog posts will be issued at the same time every week, and it means that you do not have to manually upload your posts when the time comes. It also allows you to get a few weeks ahead of yourself for just in case you cannot write for a few weeks or if you want to take a break from blogging.

#9. Have the scheduling tool update your RSS feed too

Again, this is going to save you the trouble of doing it yourself, which will mean that this very important job is not forgotten. Do not write too much on your RSS feed page. A single sentence describing your blog post is enough, as you do not want to scare off your reader before he or she has even seen the blog post.
And if you are using WordPress as your blogging platform then you can be worry free as WordPress updates the RSS automatically everytime you publish a new article on your blog.

#10. Build relationship with niche bloggers

This is very important that you are in touch with the other bloggers via social media or email (if possible), for that you can start with sharing your views with them about their blog, can give ideas for their blog, write guest posts regularly on their blogs.
So, finally if you follow all the above tips carefully throughout your blogging then no one can stop you from becoming a successful blogger, and making lots of money through blogging too.

Wanting a few more customers? It’s a challenge that most of us suffer from. How do we overcome this?.

The solution is called LondonClicks. This is a wonderful service, that works like the Entertainment books -except it’s all on line. Using an mobile app, if you don’t have a smart phone you can still use your computer. You can post your offers for free, support your local merchants and save money all at the same time.

Even though I was introduced to this concept awhile ago, I was in a different head space than I am now. I revisited the site, spoke to my girlfriend who’s been doing this for over a year now. What I really like about it now, is that Non-profits can now sign-up for FREE and can share in the revenue, When people shop under their affiliate site, the shared revenue goes towards their organization.

I like it, as it helps startups, businesses and nonprofits to make money and get more customers. Its really a WIN, WIN for everyone.

If you are a business/merchant that would like more customers, or you know of a non-profit that could use some more money for their programs. Let me know!! You could also visit the website to see if it’s of interest to you.

Then let’s chat, open to questions.

How to make money online using DreamHost’s affiliate program

To get started,if you have not joined DreamHost’s affiliate program, you can join now for free.
Join DreamHost’s affiliate program
For the purpose of the remainder of this tutorial, we’ll assume that you have an affiliate account with DreamHost and that you have used your credentials to log in to the DreamHost panel.

How to create a DreamHost discount code for your blog readers

DreamHost’s affiliate program allows you to create a promo code which you can offer to your readers so that they can in turn get a discount when purchasing DreamHost. You can generate a discount of up to $97 for your readers. I suggest, however, that you create your discount coupon for $50 maximum, as this will help you to make some money when your readers use the discount as well.
Once you are inside the panel, click on Billing & account > Affiliates. Click on “Create Your Own Promo Codes!” at the bottom of the page.

You will also be able to see all the promo codes that you have created to date.

Create Dreamhost promo code

I suggest that you create a promo code with a meaningful name. In the past, I  have created SBD50 coupon code for SolutionsBD, and other similar memorable names for other blogs. You will want to use a name that is easily recalled, and that is related to your brand.
You have the option to add extra goodies such as an additional domain name, private IP and so on. Remember, though, that these would decrease your affiliate income.
DreamHost gives you a maximum of $97 commission on every sale. So for example, if you are giving a discount of $50 for every sale, you will be making $47 on each sale. Again, I generally suggest creating a promo code for a $50 discount.
Once you have entered your information into all of the required field, click on “Create this promo code now”. You will see the message “promo code successfully generated”, or if that promo code name already exists, you will be asked to select a different code name.
Linking the promo code to your affiliate link:
When you log in to your DreamHost panel and click on the  rewards tab, you will see your affiliate link.

In this case, my affiliate link is http://www.dreamhost.com/r.cgi?2160047
Now all I need to do is add my promo code after my affiliate link. So, for example, to link my SML50 promo code, which offers a $50 discount, I will use this link:
http://www.dreamhost.com/r.cgi?2160047|SBD50
So now, whenever a user signs up using this promo code, he will get a $50 discount on hosting.
In short, all you need to do is to simply add your promo code after your affiliate link.

Why a $50 promo code?

Some time back I created a DreamHost $97 discount code that is the maximum discount one can offer. Many SolutionsBD readers signed up for DreamHost using that code (SBD97) to get a $97 discount, but they received only a $50 discount.
DreamHost’s customer service representatives noted that for certain regions, the maximum possible discount is $50. However, for some reason DreamHost is not revealing which countries are eligible for the $97 discount and which countries are not.
So instead of creating a false alarm for your readers, simply create a $50 discount code.
How to promote DreamHost’s affiliate program
At this point you know how to create a promo code and add it after your DreamHost affiliate link.
Now let’s have a look at how to promote DreamHost through the affiliate program:
  • You can share a discount coupon via a blog post
  • You can add the banner on your sidebar
  • You can send it via an email newsletter
DreamHost also offers a free 15-day trial, so you can use that as one of the best marketing promotions for your DreamHost affiliate program.
More detail:  How to signup for a free Dreamhost trial account
Affiliate payment
Users who are in countries other than India can receive money via Paypal or check, but for Indian affiliate users, payment by check is the only available option. I will say, however, that I have received my checks within the appropriate time-frame each month.  (If you become a premium affiliate as I am, you can request your payments every month.)
What next?
I have shared one of my top money-making formulas with you in this post, and I hope you will benefit from the information. Make sure you take advantage of help from the tutorial to make some significant money, and add the results to your monthly income report.

Monetizing a Site Through AdSense

There is a lot of misconception about Google AdSense; many marketers see it as one of the most rudimentary ways to monetize your site. As such many markets prefer to build affiliate sites, spend an age writing sales driven content, building email lists to try and sell on the back end, but the most important aspect of getting the sale is completely taking out of their hands, once you send traffic to the merchant they are the ones you have to rely on to push your traffic through their checkout page. If the merchant you are promoting has a poor sales funnel you will suffer.
This is not the case with AdSense, once you get the click then your job is done and your money is in the bank of Google.
When you build a site around AdSense in many ways it’s different to that of an affiliate site.  The perfect traffic for an AdSense site is click happy information hungry searchers. This is not the case for an affiliate site, most affiliates will target traffic that are close to making a purchase and hopefully they are just looking for some final reassurances that the product they plan to buy will meet their needs. These typical searches can include “reviews” “best price” or one of favourites is “warranty” for instance how long is the warranty on a Sony camcorder. As you can imagine these keywords get a tiny amount of searches every month but they are super targeted and can lead to the highest conversions.
If you target these types of searches with an AdSense site you may not get enough traffic to make the site pay and as the searchers have a very specific goal you will often find that they are unwilling to click on your ad.

Choosing your keywords and finding a click happy market

The most important thing to remember about an AdSense site is that it’s a numbers game, in every part of it you want to have the numbers on your side, ideally the more the better.
Keeping the numbers on your side starts with the keyword research, you want to try and find between 5 and 10 possible candidates.  The same rules apply as always, use Google’s keyword tool, try and find keywords with a minimum of 2500 searches and months, with a CPC of at least .50 cents ( remember this is split between you again Google, 60:40 in your favour). If you have tools like Market Samurai or Micro Niche finder, use them! they will make this process so much easier

Now to find if any of these keywords have click happy searchers

Knowing that you are entering a market that has potential to be profitable for you is a great incentive to drive on and make it work. To try and take as much guess work out of this as possible you will need to do quite a lot of ground work. You may be putting a lot of work in now with little reward, but it’s better to do it now than to spend 6 months working on a site with little or nothing to show at the end.
The best way I have found to test the potential of a new niche is to write an article on all of your chosen keywords and submit them to ezinearticles. (Note: as we have not registered any domains yet, you will need to link your biobox to some other site), It may sound strange to be doing this but there is method in the madness and there are 2 good reasons, firstly ezinearticles has the ability to rank highly for your keyword, giving you an indication of how tough the competition is and after about a month you will have an idea of which keyword has the best potential. Just look for the article that has the highest CTR (click through rate).  Because they have clicked your link, they are hungry to learn more and are willing to click on your link.

Building Your Site

Now it’s back to the numbers game, you need as many articles as possible for your new site, more articles means more searchers which will mean more clicks. Each article you write should back up the main theme of your site but focus on a slightly different key phrase.
Another important aspect of the articles you write is to try and build in some relative or related keywords into each article, doing this will give you a better chance of attracting more long tail searches. If your site is about remote control helicopters, try to work in some brand names, “how to fix” or any keywords that would make sense, a lot of information based searches are based around asking a question like “how do I fix my broken Helicopter” if you can build this into your copy you will have a great chance of ranking for these types of searches. In most cases when you write the article you will be doing this anyway, this technique is commonly known as LSI or latent semantic indexing.
The length of the article will really depend on your own preferences but I prefer to write pretty meaty articles, anything up to 1500 words. I do this for 2 reasons, I can easily target a lot more potential long tails and I can hit the reader with 3 different ad boxes as they scroll down the page.  Getting ads clicked in the very top ad box will usually yield the biggest CPC, but if you miss your chance here, hitting them a second and third time will treble your chances of getting your ad clicked.

Link building

The same rules apply here, but there is one thing I have found with my AdSense sites and that is they can attract natural links more easily. I think in part it’s because of the articles I write help to answer a question but also, AdSense sites are less conspicuous compared to affiliates sites and people are more willing to link to them.
AdSense is really underrated as a viable way to monetize your site, I believe many people turn to it as a last option when all their affiliate offers fail and because the site was not built for AdSense most times these sites will under preform leaving the owner bemused with the miserable amount of money they are making.

Google loves WordPress sites

Always prefer WordPress over Blogger or any other blogging platform.
Why WordPress Is Better than Blogger?
Most bloggers ask me this question – which blogging platform should I go for? WordPress or Blogger? I certainly recommend them all to use “WordPress” content management system. Not only because I used both WordPress and blogger platforms, but I know why WordPress is way better than the Blogger platform.
So why is WordPress better than Blogger platform?
There are millions of bloggers who use WordPress as their blogging platforms, the percentage of people who use WordPress is more than that of any other blogging platform. WordPress certainly has few great assets than other blogging platforms, in this article we are discussing few surefire reasons why you need to prefer WordPress over blogger.
FIVE reasons why WordPress is better than Blogger
1. More power to you
In blogger platform, you don’t have much control over your sites, it means you have all the risk while monetizing and maintaining your sites. Whereas in WordPress, you have all the control over your sites, you are your own boss. No one has the ability to stop your blogging efforts, because you own your own domain name and hosting.
2. Professional look
Agree with me or not, WordPress blog designs look way better than that of blogger platform.
You will be able to use thousands of themes which are ranging from free to premium. The good thing about WordPress themes is even free themes look amazingly great. There are thousands of free (good looking) themes in the WordPress themes directory.
You can also use search engine friendly themes like Thesis, Genesis to enhance your rankings in the search engine results.
3. More control over SEO
Blogger platform doesn’t have great SEO options by default. And you can’t take your SEO campaign to the next level using blogger platform.WordPress platform is well-known for its search engine optimization to rank high in the search results.
Moreover, you can always take charge of your SEO rankings by using premium search engine friendly themes like Genesis or by using top class SEO plugins like easy WP SEO, long tail pro etc.
So by using WordPress you will definitely rank better than the bloggers who are using blogger platform with these functionalities.
4. Easy to customize, update and maintain
WordPress blogs are easy to customize, even if you are not a tech savvy you won’t find it hard to customize your own blog design or whatever it is. Frequently WordPress updates its versions and thus you will get rid of all security threats or minor defects time to time. By just one click you can update your WP versions, there’s no blogging platform that’s so easy to update like this.
5. Free blog hosting = so many problems (in blogger)
The worst part about blogger platform is this: you never know when Google will suspend site.
The people who use blogger platform risk having their account suspended for breaching Google’s TOS – this happened to many blogger platform users till date. Another big risk by using blogger is: if you want to sell your site, it’s hard! Because you got a free hosting, it means you have NO control over your sites, you have to spend a lot of time in managing your stuff to sell to others.
All these problems can be overcome by WordPress. If you don’t have any more interest in blogging, it takes few minutes to sell your WP blogs. It’s that easy! And I said earlier in this post, you have all the control over your sites and blogs, no one will ask you for violating terms!

Rock Your Blog With These Essential WordPress Plugins

Have you ever wanted to rock your WordPress blogs with few plugins?
One of the best things about WordPress is that you can use a wide range of plugins to take your blog to the next level. Again it depends on how many plugins you use and what plugins you use to take charge of your blog.
After all, the less plugins you have the more site speed you can acquire, so here are few plugins to increase your website traffic in 2015.
1. Digg Digg: There’s a reason why I’m placing this plugin no.1 in the list. Social media sites are becoming popular, to bring more traffic you must use social media sites to the most. If you give your readers easy to share your posts on social media, the chances of getting more shares on your posts will be huge. This plugin lets you place the sharing buttons in most prominent places on your sidebar to get more shares and visibility.
2. W3 total cache: If you want to clear all the caches on your blogs to make it loading faster, this plugin is for you. It improves the user experience of your site by increasing server performance, reducing the download times and providing transparent content delivery network (CDN) integration.
3. SEO by yoast: SEO is the key to making any successful blog, without search engine optimizing, you won’t get long lasting traffic to your sites. SEO by yoast is the premium plugin which does all the things for you to get an avalanche traffic from search engines, and it’s absolutely for free (it has all the features of a premium plugin, it’s why I’m calling it as a premium plugin).
4. Akismet: No one likes to get spam on their blog comment section. Not only spam will create more burden on your database (which makes your site loading time slower), but you will also give a bad user experience. Akismet is used by almost every blogger (yea, it’s one of the most used WP plugins in the blogosphere). It will control the spam comments to give the better user experience to your blog readers. Using GASP plugin along with Akismet can 99% reduce spam on your blogs.
5. Contact form 7: If you want a great looking contact form, this plugin is the right choice for you. Not only this plugin enables powerful security options, but it also looks easy to use.
6. nRelate thumbnails: The most effective way to boost your page views is to display your related posts or links at the bottom of your posts. This plugin serves you the best to display them using images to get more clicks on your old posts.
7. Google XML sitemap: A must have WP plugin for WP users. Creating and submitting a Sitemap helps make sure that Google knows about all the pages on your site, including URLs that may not be discoverable by Google’s normal crawling process.
8. Jetpack by WordPress: If you want to get your analytics right, install this plugin. This plugin enables you to analyze your page views, search terms and who clicked on what etc. to give you a detailed data of your WP blog readers.

Write keyword rich contents no matter what

Search engine optimization is the key to building a profitable blog. Without search engine traffic, your blog won’t last long. To make your prospects buying and to generate more leads, it’s a MUST to bring organic traffic.
Luckily, the WordPress users have a great edge with SEO because there are so many great WordPress SEO plugins available, and most of them are free.
Post consistently: If you want to become a top blogger in your niche, post consistently. I don’t mean that you need to post daily to succeed, but you have to be CONSISTENT with your blog posting frequency. Who will like to read your blog if you update blog posts inconsistently? The best way to know your blog posting frequency is by “testing”.
Testing is the key to know the perfect blog post frequency on your blogs, know what works and what’s not. Take the help from your readers and other bloggers if you need. Use online survey tools like Survey monkey or use your email list to ask your readers “when to update”. This way you will have a better idea on what to write and when to update on your blogs.
Write unique points: Get them talking about your blog posts. But how? Always write engaging content that solves your readers problems and give genuine value to your targeted readers. No one will like to read your blog if you post “generic contents”. Write unique posts that will create great impact on your blog readers in the long run. Take some time to research the topics that you are writing about and deliver the ‘best’ information to your readers. Create your own writing style to stand out from the crowd.

Give importance to readers and search engines

Readers and search engines both are important. You simply can’t ignore both of them, readers will give your blog immense support to buy your products and search engines can bring you more readers in the long run for the potential keywords.
Know your targeted keywords before writing a blog post, write for the readers first, then optimize the contents for the search engines. I don’t suggest anyone to use “keyword stuffing”, instead use long tail keywords to generate quality traffic from the search engines.
You will definitely have more impact on search engines when you use long tail keywords like “blog tips for new bloggers”, instead of using just “blog tips”. Then build quality back links to your sites either by guest blogging or by writing link baiting posts which will naturally attract other bloggers to link to your posts. This way you can bring great traffic from the search engines in the long run, remember that, search traffic takes time to reach your blog. You simply can’t expect organic traffic flowing through your blog posts within 2 days.
Use social media sites to boost your presence: By now, you should know the importance of social media sites like Facebook, twitter, Google+ etc. They are great resources if you want to quickly build a brand around your blogs. You should be dedicated enough to engage with other bloggers and influential bloggers in your niche using social media sites.
Always share the best stuff around your network to grab other bloggers attention to click on your links. No one will care to read your stuff if you post generic contents, make sure you are spending enough time to read and write the best contents to solve your readers’ problems.

Guest blogging is a weapon – use it wisely

If you want to succeed in blogging, you need to get more online visibility no matter what. The best way to get more visibility in no time is this, guest post on other blogs which are better than yours!
Guest blogging is going viral in blogosphere. Everyone is talking about guest blogging and more bloggers are entering into guest blogging to get more attention.Guest blogging will be fun and useful if you know how NOT to pitch your guest posts. In this article, we will discuss how not to write a guest post. You will better understand about your targeted readers if you once analyze your targeted blog posts.
Guest blogging will not only give you links, visibility and traffic, but you can also create great relationships with other bloggers which will be helpful for your blog’s success in the long run. Try to create targeted guest posts to grab more readers attention to reach your blog posts. Make it easy for them to subscribe and become your subscribers.
So what are your thoughts on this massive post increase website traffic? Do you have any more tips to increase organic traffic to your websites, please share them in the comments.
